Glen Rock Hockey Association is a non-profit organization founded to develop and promote youth hockey in the Borough of Glen Rock and to support a competitive ice hockey program at the High School level. We aim to serve the following age groups:

6 & Under (Atoms/ Early Mites) Learn to skate program and Learn to play program. We aim to be a part of kids initial steps into ice hockey. This early development period is essential for acquiring fundamental movement skills (running, gliding, jumping, kicking, catching, striking...) that lay the foundation for more complex movements. Our Winter atoms/mites clinic is available to kids who have never skated before and those who are in their first few years of the sport.  Register for our Atoms/Mites Clinic under “Programs.”

8 & Under (Mites)
Cross ice games and fun competitions that introduce a team environment. The objective of this stage is to refine fundamental movement skills and begin to acquire basic sports skills. This is the time when a foundation is laid for future acquisition of more advanced skills. Our spring team program is available for this level. Often kids go from our winter clinic into the spring team program. Register for our Atoms/Mites Clinic under “Programs.”

10 & Under (Squirts)
First introduction to full ice games. This is the period of accelerated learning of coordination and fine motor control and is the critical stage for the acquisition of hockey skills. Our spring team program is available for this level.

12 & Under (Peewees)
Full ice games and increased competition level. The focus of this stage is to further develop sports specific skills, begin to introduce competition, and start to emphasize support training to continue development of speed, strength and stamina while maintaining flexibility. Our spring team program is available for this level.
